Kaytlin + Mason | The Springs | Edmond, OK

Let me tell you a little (okay a lot) about Mason & Kaytlin's wedding day.

Let's start with how I met these two. I'm pretty sure they randomly found me on Facebook (correct me if I'm wrong Kaytlin!) and we decided to meet up for a coffee date before shooting their engagement photos. After about 5 minutes with them, I knew we would be a great team! We took some amazing engagement photos and they were naturals in front of the camera, so snuggly and lost in their own little world--perfection. As if I didn't already love them, at the end of our session, Mason said a prayer over us, their engagement and up-coming marriage and over myself, my business and my photography. It was that moment that I knew these two were more than just clients, they were genuine friends who cared about others and about me.

The week before their wedding, Kaytlin had her bag with her laptop, thank you notes, shoes, vows, bible, and credit cards stolen. As if a bride needs one more thing to add to the stress the week before your wedding? But she didn't let that ruin her joy. She wasn't going to let anything get in the way of the excitement and commitment she was making. She's amazing.

The wedding day was SO MUCH FUN! I honestly don't think I've ever laughed so much and made so many friends with total strangers. Mason and Kaytlin made me feel like family all day long and even wanted a photo with me! That made me feel so appreciated! Their bridal party had me in tears from laughing so hard, they were so hilarious! The ceremony was centered around worship and the commitment they were making. We even snuck away just before dark to give them a few moments to soak in the fact they are husband and wife before going off to the reception to celebrate!

From the toasts, the first dances, and all the hugs, Kaytlin and Mason are so very loved by their friends and family. It was a true honor to witness their people loving on them and celebrating with them. Speaking of, the reception was a total party! At one point, I'm pretty sure the entire room was dancing and not one person was sitting down! Also, while taking photos of the guests dancing, I stood on a chair to get a higher angle, I shifted my weight wrong and the chair folded up on me and I fell to the floor! Talk about embarrassing. With my camera safe (I was super proud of my reflexes to protect it!) and my legs caught in a folding chair, Mason ran over and helped me up and made sure I was ok. With a bruised leg and ego, I was back to photographing and dancing!

Kaytlin + Mason, thank you for allowing me to play a part in your beautiful wedding. I think it's time to plan a trip to Chicago! :)
