Encore Session // What It Is + Why You Should Schedule One!

If you ask me what my favorite type of session to shoot would be, I would hands down without a doubt say "encore sessions". Encore sessions take place after the wedding day and are a beautiful opportunity for a bride & groom to keep the party going! You may have heard these called "Day After" sessions or "Post Honeymoon" sessions. Basically, anywhere from the next day to a few weeks after the wedding, you and your spouse would get back into your wedding attire and we take more bride + groom portraits! The possibilities with these sessions are endless! Maybe you didn't have as much time as you originally planned on your wedding day to dedicate to photos of you and your husband, this gives us plenty of time to make sure you get all the shots you want! Maybe you want to change up your look, wear your hair differently or change up your lip color, this is perfect for that! Maybe you got married in a classic style venue and want adventurous photos in the mountains or by the water, this makes it possible! You also get to wear your wedding dress again which is always a bonus! I could go on and on about all the opportunities these sessions offer, but one of my favorites reasons to book one is that it gives you both dedicated time to really dwell on the fact that you are married! There's no wedding day timeline to keep to, you don't have any guests waiting to greet you, you don't have to worry about your dress getting dirty, your hair falling down, or what the weather is going to do. You simply get to spend more time as bride and groom, relaxed and free from wedding day stresses, soaking up the present and reflecting on your wedding day, all while I capture those genuine moments as they happen organically. It's the best.

Here are some photos and testimonials from past clients of mine that took full advantage of the wonderful opportunity of an Encore Session!

Our wedding day was perfect, but because of a weather surprise, Bradly and I missed the opportunity for pictures of just us. Kelcy filled that void for us. We contacted her with the hope for an encore shoot, and she was more than on board. She was focused, creative, and so flexible. She made us feel confident, special, and beyond comfortable. She captured us in our truest, most natural light and helped us remember the best day of our lives and why we chose each other. I would choose Kelcy over and over again, and I hope you choose to work with her also! - Mary Browning

An encore session was one of the most fun times I've ever had in front of a camera! We had just gotten back from our honeymoon, more in love than ever and we got to document that! It also gave me the chance to wear my makeup and hair a little different! Kelcy was absolutely amazing! She gave direction, was outgoing, personable, and very patient and we quickly became friends! I would recommend an encore session to every bride getting married! - Madison Magill

My husband, Kaleb, and I got married in May of 2014. One day, I was cleaning out my closet and came across my wedding dress. I remember thinking how bummed I was that I would never get to wear it again, and thinking how cool it would be to have some modern pics in my dress. That's when my fabulous friend, Kelcy Enriquez, asked if I would get back in my dress for an encore session. Duh!! What girl wouldn't love another chance to wear her wedding dress? Our encore session was completely different than the pics we took at our wedding. We had a different style, different location, and even different lighting. It was such a lovely experience reliving our big day. I recommend it to all married couples! -Megan King
