Marissa & Sean // Steele Wedding // Lewisville, Tx

I know it seems like I say that every wedding is my favorite wedding, but guys this one is one of my favorites and I just get the biggest honor of working so many amazing couples! Sean and Marissa made me feel so valued when they booked me last year. Marissa said that photography was on the top of her list, she wanted it to be done well and that she had been admiring my work for a long time and booked me as soon as they got engaged! That made me feel so appreciated and I looked forward to their wedding day ever since!

Sean and Marisa were married at Sean's home church in Lewisville, Texas on July 29, 2017. The day was so relaxed, we had plenty of time for photos and the bridal party never felt rushed or stressed, Sean and Marissa opted for a first look, the ceremony was heartfelt and intentional, their loved ones all made the entire day truly about Sean and Marissa and we even took more photos after they left the reception--the recipe for a perfect wedding day! It was so sweet when Sean turned around and saw Marissa for the first time, he said "YES GIRL!" So Sean. The bridal party took photos in the Texas summer heat, but no one complained and we all had a wonderful time! As if Sean's reaction to Marissa couldn't have been any sweeter, he so sweetly cried as he saw his bride walking down the aisle towards him. If any future brides are afraid of a first look because they fear that they won't have a "moment" or "reaction" at the aisle, let Sean and Marissa prove you wrong! They both wrote vows to each other that had everyone in tears, but as expected from these two, they had you laughing just as much with their love story. After dancing out to Beyonce, we all headed to a reception of cake, light finger foods and a fully stocked coffee bar. Sean wrote an original song for Marissa and sang it to her--again, not a dry eye in the room! They hugged their loved ones and were sent off under a shower of bubbles before we drove to a nearby park and took a few more portraits. If you're having an afternoon wedding, this is one of my favorite things to do! By the time you leave your reception, the light will be perfect and I like to give my couples ample time to reflect on the day, soak up these first moments as husband and wife and simply be. After we got some great portraits, they danced it out in the parking lot and before I knew it, my time with them was over. Looking back, Sean and Marissa's day was a perfect blend of heartwarming and humorous, just what you would expect from such wonderful people as these two. They'll make you feel so special and honored to be in their presence, then they'll have you bent over laughing because they're so stinking funny!

Mr. and Mrs. Steele, I wish you all the best and I've got so much love for you both! Thank you for giving me the honor of capturing your wedding day. I look forward to running into you at Starbucks! :)
